The Birds go "Off Track" , a USC Graduate thesis film

I was Asked to be a Native American Cahuilla Cultural Adviser on the
"Off Track" USC Graduate thesis film
I was contacted by a wonderful young man named Drew Diamond, MFA USC Graduate...After locating information on the Cahuilla people and getting roadblocks to complete their film project the RIGHT way... making sure everything that was Cahuilla in the film. From Cahuilla Words to Props, everything had to be right for them.
Drew had Demands that would make any Indian run... but what I saw in this young man is the ability to get the story out the right way, our Indian way and not some fictional character.
Jay Tavare, the Native Puul in the movie... mention that he took on this project because the Producers cared about the Indian Details of the student Film... Just as I did.
Through their research, they came across our NativeImagesPG.Blogspot.com website that then linked them to our Youtube Birdsinging channel to find Cahuilla BIRDSINGERs for the film.
I was very intrigued and was happy to assist after Drew Diamond came to my home with respect and talked about USC's Project and his main interest of contacting the people that still practice the culture at length. This lead me to help with the project because of my cultural experience and practices.
I was there to assist the Producers represented an accurate depiction of the Cahuilla in the past.
